Since 2015 you play a chaotic mix of Black Metal and Grindcore in the service of total war! Can you tell us how Headless Berserkers was born?
The band was set up as just a fun thing and a side project beside of some of my main bands as Wintercold, Woe is the Accursed Earth & D.O.A, but after done two demos in 2015 and 2016 I realized that it was also a good way of creating more intense & brutal and often very much improvised raw metal that also had a more radical message in it without any kind of limits. In this band I just do whatever feels right for the moment without so much planning or training. It is just about pure chaos and intense energy against what´s normal.
Your music is so distorted that it sometimes comes close to industrial and noise, don't you think?
It is really not on purpose or my own meaning in general, it just turns out that way very often. But noise is what it is with a strong element of old school black & death metal + grindcore & crust. And one thing else is that the music in this band is often very unmixed and that is also a way of making it stay more raw.
You play in many other bands, like Demorian or Dawn of the apocalypse...can you tell us a little bit about your side projects ?
Headless Berserkers is more like a side project even if I can say now that after the third album “Prepared for Total War” that came out last year it have turned more seriously and feels like it too. So the future will tell, but H.B is not a main band from the beginning. About the other bands. Demorian is one of the oldest bands that I am still in and it started all back in 2001 and is a very industrial/goth styled black/death metal, band have been on hold for a couple of years now, but is full active again since last year. Dawn of Apocalypse is a raw black/thrash band/project with me and my wife on vocals & lyrics and is fully active since 2014 & have some new material on the way too. Woe is the Accursed Earth is a band that involves me and a good friend/brother from United States & was set up in 2015, music form is atmospheric black/doom metal & have in this moment new material (first since 2017) coming for a new album and perhaps a split as well. Another band I can also mention here is the band Lord Caiphas that is originally from the Philippines and is in fact a quite old band, but I joined in for their re-unite in late last year as a helping hand as the band have been layed on ice for like more than a decade. That band have now recorded a debut album late last year that is now planned to come out this year. Have also some other bands/projects as Doomsday Prophet, Luciferian Blood & Frostgripen, but those are not at the moment full time active, but plans exists. The list of bands that I have figured and played in before can be very long so I stops here.
Headless Berserkers is based on national socialist ideas, is it your ideology or a concept? Can you tell us about it?
To be honest I dont really call or would not like to call myself a national socialist even if I fully agree with lots of the topics/views in it and can sometime think that our world would be better with a society built in that way as I dont believe in democracy, for me it is a kind of an utopian dream that is not really functional more than in words and on a paper. I would say that I see me more of a nationalist/paganist, but with a radical and open mind. What I truly believe in is inside of me and stays there. Have also always been interested in satanism (true satanism) and all kind of occultism, history & old cultures, therefore my “silly” artist name I guess, haha...it all stared back in the 80´s when some friends started call me Satanic Tony.
Can you tell us about your influences? At first we think about Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Goatpenis, Blasphemy ?
True, all those are some big influences, but some bands that influences me the most when I creating/writing songs for H.B is old Disastrous MurMur (one of the best), Pungent Stench, Old Lady Drivers, Wehrmacht, Tank Genocide, Unseen Terror, Necrophagia, Command Warhammer, Mortician, Discharge (early), Triptykon, Anti-Cimex (early), Skitslickers, Bombanfall, Gaskammer, Seven Minutes of Nausea and Sore Throat to mention some.
What other kind of Black Metal do you like ?
Personally I dont listens to only black metal as I am all eater "more or less", but prefer regular old school black metal, NSBM, Pagan/Folk, Doom, Thrash/Speed and older Death metal in the first place, regular rock music and heavy metal is not so bad either, listens to a lot of that. There is too many bands to mention here. I started as a punkrocker in the early 80´s so that is a genre that I also like, specially the bands from the late 70´s and the 80´s, Ramones, Misfits, Disrupters, Amebix, Exploited, Abrasive Wheels, G.B.H, Asocial, Rövsvett and Bristles are some. A lot of skinhead/r.a.c/viking rock music is something that is great too, Skrewdriver, Vengeance, Indecent Exposure, Ultima Thule and old Dirlewanger is good old bands. Some bands that have touched me a lot lately & that I listens too a lot is bands like Satanic Priest, Apes of God, Krumkač, Maléfice, H2SO4, Kaal Akuma, Via Dolorosa, The Hu, Old Witch Cemetery, Murderous Ideology, Artisian, Inciter and the neo classical/dark ambient band Dark Awake from Greece.
What is the message of Headless Berserkers for humanity?
Eternal chaos and pure noise for the masses, hate it or love it! Believe in yourself and stop the insanity that just grows in the today´s sick world with all environment fanatics, vegan/antifa scum, religous propaganda and that type of weird shit. I puke on the modern world of today with all talk about that we must show compassion to the whole world instead of our own people. I believe that we must think of ourselves in the first place and not forget our heritage and roots. Some few countries cant just be the only large mass conscience for those who have it hard or social agency for the others, it is perhaps cruel, but true. Since ancient time it is always the strong who´ll survive, a cycle created by nature and universe itself. Countries that are supposed to be wealthy can have a very dark and grey side too that not all can see as all out there only always sees the positive things, sad but the truth!
You've recently released the demo "Land Of The Free And Dead", can you tell us about it?
That track is taken from the third album “Prepared for Total War” that came out on a limited CD of 100 copies last year on Barbatos Productions. The version from soundcloud is a raw demo version. When this is written I can inform that the fourth album “War” is out, so far only as digital.
You and Command Warhammer participated in an anti-Islamic state split. How far do you think Islamic danger can go? And are we going to get away with it?
I believe that islam is one of the most and fastest growing religions on earth, not all are perhaps true terrorists as I know a couple of people that is ok as long there is no discussion about religion, but some are born in those countries, but disclaim their own country´s original religion, but gets of course lots of problems there then. This is also a proof that islam is a religion that doesn´t really fits in our world of today (or ever) as it looks more or less that in many ways they still live after some medieval values. They have a very disrespectful view on womens over all, other lands cultures and values and that is weird. The mass immigration wave that have now going on for a couple of years will cause more and more trouble and problems for the future and specially here in europe (so far). In my opinion is this spreading something that will make more effects on the society, old cultural values, laws and rules in many countries. Everywhere islam becomes bigger they also requires and implements more and more of their religious values and own culture and they wants their religous values/opinions should become normally established and accepted as anything else, that is scary. If I would come to their lands and talk about our values and laws I would probably end up in a crane by the end of a rope so learn to accept european rules and values otherwise go back to your place. I feel sorry for the kids that grows up into countries that in many ways dont looks like the country it was 10 , 20 years ago. I would like to add here that I am not a racist, this word is something that people have generally gotten about the back foot completely in these day. Many says that we live in such a free and respectful world?? Fuck that shit, some hippie influenced utopian rubbish, haha.
You consider political Islam more dangerous than dying Christianity. What do you think of groups that continue to do business by beating up Jesus?
I think all kinds of religion is a way of living in a false picture of real life. People chooses or grows up with a religion in hope that life is better in that way as they have never learned to just believe in theirself and the natural laws. Religion over all is just fake and created by mankind. Think like this, I goes back in time with a cellphone (or a Xbox, tablet), guess the response, haha..I am then the almighty God with a thing sent by the Gods where I can speak with them too!

As long I feel for it and health is still there I will just go on with it. Not that young anymore, but have not being a problem so far. Plans for new songs and more releases lays in my hand, perhaps a split with another similar band again? I always go against what´s normal and the typical standard, a rebel til´the end!

Depuis 2015, vous jouez un mélange chaotique de Black Metal et de Grindcore au service de la guerre totale ! Pouvez-vous nous dire comment est né Headless Berserkers ?
Le groupe a été créé comme un simple amusement et un projet parallèle à certains de mes groupes principaux comme Wintercold, Woe is the Accursed Earth et D.O.A, mais après avoir fait deux démos en 2015 et 2016, j'ai réalisé que c'était aussi une bonne façon de créer un métal brut plus intense et brutal et souvent très improvisé qui contenait aussi un message plus radical sans aucune limite. Dans ce groupe, je fais juste ce qui me semble bien pour le moment, sans trop de planification ou d'entraînement. Il s'agit juste de chaos pur et d'énergie intense contre ce qui est normal.
Votre musique est tellement déformée qu'elle se rapproche parfois de l'industriel et de la Noise, vous ne trouvez pas ?
Ce n'est pas vraiment voulu ou ce que je veux dire en général, c'est juste que ça se passe souvent comme ça. Mais le bruit est ce qu'il est avec un fort élément de black & death metal old school + grindcore & crust. La musique de ce groupe est souvent très peu mélangée et c'est aussi une façon de la faire rester plus brute.
Vous jouez dans beaucoup d'autres groupes, comme Demorian ou Dawn of the apocalypse... pouvez-vous nous parler de vos projets parallèles ?
Headless Berserkers est plus un side-project même si je peux dire maintenant qu'après le troisième album "Prepared for Total War" qui est sorti l'année dernière, il est devenu plus sérieux et j'en ai l'impression aussi. L'avenir nous le dira, mais H.B n'est pas un groupe principal depuis le début. A propos des autres groupes. Demorian est l'un des plus anciens groupes dans lequel je suis encore et tout a commencé en 2001. C'est un groupe de black/death metal de style très industriel/goth, qui est en stand-by depuis quelques années maintenant, mais qui est à nouveau pleinement actif depuis l'année dernière. Dawn of Apocalypse est un groupe de black/thrash avec ma femme et moi au chant et sur les paroles. Il est pleinement actif depuis 2014 et de nouveaux morceaux sont en préparation. Woe is the Accursed Earth est un groupe qui implique un bon ami/frère et moi des États-Unis et qui a été créé en 2015. La musique est du black/doom metal atmosphérique et nous avons en ce moment de nouveaux morceaux (pour la première fois depuis 2017) qui viennent pour un nouvel album et peut-être aussi un split. Je peux également mentionner ici le groupe Lord Caiphas, originaire des Philippines, qui est en fait un groupe assez ancien, mais je l'ai rejoint pour leur réunion à la fin de l'année dernière pour les aider, car le groupe est resté sur la glace pendant plus d'une décennie. Headless Berserkers est basé sur des idées nationalistes voire même nationale-socialistes, est-ce votre idéologie ou un concept ? Pouvez-vous nous en parler ?
Pour être honnête, je ne me qualifie pas vraiment de national-socialiste, même si je suis entièrement d'accord avec de nombreux sujets et points de vue et que je peux parfois penser que notre monde serait meilleur avec une société construite de cette manière, car je ne crois pas en la démocratie. Je dirais que je me vois plus comme un nationaliste/paganiste, mais avec un esprit radical et ouvert. Ce en quoi je crois vraiment est à l'intérieur de moi et y reste. J'ai aussi toujours été intéressé par le satanisme (le vrai satanisme) et toutes sortes d'occultisme, l'histoire et les anciennes cultures, d'où mon nom d'artiste "idiot", je suppose, haha... tout cela est revenu dans les années 80 quand certains amis ont commencé à m'appeler Satanic Tony.

Quel autre type de Black Metal aimez-vous ?
Personnellement, je n'écoute pas que du black metal, mais je préfère le black metal normal de la vieille école, le NSBM, le Pagan/Folk, le Doom, le Thrash/Speed et le vieux Death metal en premier lieu. Le rock normal et le heavy metal ne sont pas si mal non plus, j'en écoute beaucoup. Il y a trop de groupes à mentionner ici. Quel est le message de Headless Berserkers pour l'humanité ?
Le chaos éternel et le bruit pur pour les masses, qu'elles le haïssent ou qu'elles l'aiment ! Croyez en vous et arrêtez la folie qui ne fait que croître dans le monde malade d'aujourd'hui avec tous les fanatiques de l'environnement, la racaille végétalienne/antifa, la propagande religieuse et ce genre de merdes bizarres. Je vomis sur le monde moderne d'aujourd'hui avec tous ces discours sur le fait que nous devons faire preuve de compassion envers le monde entier plutôt qu'envers notre propre peuple. Je crois que nous devons penser à nous-mêmes en premier lieu et ne pas oublier notre héritage et nos racines. Certains pays ne peuvent pas être la seule grande conscience de masse pour ceux qui ont la vie dure ou l'action sociale pour les autres, c'est peut-être cruel, mais vrai. Depuis l'Antiquité, ce sont toujours les plus forts qui survivent, un cycle créé par la nature et l'univers lui-même. Les pays qui sont censés être riches peuvent aussi avoir un côté très sombre et gris que tous ne peuvent pas voir, car tout le monde ne voit que les choses positives, tristes mais vraies !

Ce morceau est tiré du troisième album "Prepared for Total War" qui est sorti sur un CD limité à 100 copies l'année dernière chez Barbatos Productions. La version de soundcloud est une version démo brute. Lorsque cela sera publié, je pourrai vous informer que le quatrième album "War" est sorti, jusqu'à présent uniquement en numérique.
Vous et Command Warhammer avez participé à une split album anti- Etat islamique (DAESH). Jusqu'où pensez-vous que le danger islamique peut aller ? Et allons-nous nous en sortir ?
Je pense que l'Islam est l'une des religions qui se développe le plus et le plus rapidement sur terre. Tous ne sont peut-être pas de vrais terroristes, je le sais, mais cela ne pose pas de problème tant qu'il n'y a pas de discussion sur la religion. C'est aussi la preuve que l'Islam est une religion qui ne convient pas vraiment à notre monde d'aujourd'hui (ou de toujours) car il semble que, à bien des égards, ils vivent encore selon certaines valeurs médiévales. Ils ont une vision très irrespectueuse des femmes, des cultures et des valeurs des autres pays, et c'est étrange. La vague d'immigration massive qui dure depuis quelques années va causer de plus en plus de problèmes à l'avenir, en particulier ici en Europe (jusqu'à présent). À mon avis, cette vague d'immigration va avoir des répercussions sur la société, les anciennes valeurs culturelles, les lois et les règles dans de nombreux pays. Partout où l'Islam devient plus grand, ils exigent et appliquent de plus en plus leurs valeurs religieuses et leur propre culture et ils veulent que leurs valeurs et opinions religieuses soient normalement établies et acceptées comme toute autre chose, c'est effrayant. Si je venais sur leurs terres et que je parlais de nos valeurs et de nos lois, je finirais probablement dans une grue au bout d'une corde, alors apprenez à accepter les règles et les valeurs européennes, sinon retournez chez vous. J'ai de la peine pour les enfants qui grandissent dans des pays qui, à bien des égards, ne ressemblent pas à ceux d'il y a 10 ou 20 ans. Je voudrais ajouter ici que je ne suis pas raciste, ce mot est quelque chose que les gens ont en général complètement oublié de nos jours. Beaucoup disent que nous vivons dans un monde si libre et si respectueux ? J'emmerde ces conneries, des conneries utopiques influencées par les hippies, haha.
Vous considérez l'Islam politique plus dangereux que le christianisme mourant. Que pensez-vous des groupes qui continuent à faire des affaires en tapant surJésus ?
Je pense que toutes les sortes de religions sont une façon de vivre dans une fausse image de la vie réelle. Les gens choisissent ou grandissent avec une religion dans l'espoir que la vie est meilleure de cette façon car ils n'ont jamais appris à croire en eux-mêmes et aux lois naturelles. La religion en général n'est qu'un faux et a été créée par l'homme. Pensez comme ceci, je remonte dans le temps avec un téléphone portable (ou une Xbox, une tablette), devinez la réponse, haha... Je suis alors le Dieu tout-puissant avec une chose envoyée par les Dieux où je peux aussi parler avec eux !

Tant que j'y tiens et que la santé est encore là, je continuerai. Je ne suis plus si jeune, mais je n'ai pas été un problème jusqu'à présent. Des plans pour de nouvelles chansons et d'autres sorties sont entre mes mains, peut-être une séparation avec un autre groupe similaire à nouveau ? Je vais toujours à l'encontre de ce qui est normal et du standard typique, un rebelle jusqu'à la fin !
